January 2023

January 2023

As we start a new year, with each day a little longer than the last, it's uplifting. And we're definitely up for that. I'm not great at posting in this journal and it was especially hard to do after we lost our beloved dog, Juneau, at the end of May.

His passing was heart wrenching and unexpected, making it much harder to accept. Juneau was the light in our lives and a day doesn't go by that we don't try to hold him close in our memories. We miss him terribly.

Takhoma is adjusting slowly and we bring her to the studio everyday to make sure she isn't lonely. Whether she likes it or not, she has an 8 lb. admirer in the neighborhood - a young, black cat with yellow eyes, who we've dubbed "The Assassin". She stalks us and we're not sure if she would attack Takhoma or not but she definitely has an attitude so we're on guard, keeping an eye out for an ambush.

I love this time of year, to start over, organize, and bring new ideas to fruition. Thank you for following us!
