What is a willywaw, you ask?

Well, a willywaw (williwaw) is a violent arctic wind that howls down steep sided mountains and slams onto the ocean!

I came across the word while reading Alfred Lansing's book Endurance, about the infamous and epic misadventure of Ernest Shackleton and his crew who were stranded in Antarctica when their ship, Endurance, was crushed by sea ice. It is one of my favorite books.

And it seemed the perfect name for my company; after all I love the mountains but married a sailor!
